BEST GAME RECORDING SOFTWARE 2015 (No Lag, 0 FPS Drop, FREE)
BEST GAME RECORDING SOFTWARE 2015 (No Lag, 0 FPS Drop, FREE)
How to set up Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to record gameplay on your PC. A very quick and simple guide to setting up OBS for game capture. This setup will guide you through the Settings and how to add Sources and Scenes to get you up and running to record games on your computer. While there are certainly more advanced features for optimizing your game capture recordings, this is a very easy way to begin recording your videos to edit, share with your friends, or upload to YouTube. Hope this helps!
OBS (Open Broadcast Software) – Week 4 covering several methods of getting your audio into an OBS mix – including an HOA or AV coming in via a capture card from another computer!
This is the fourth of a series of tech shows I’ll be presenting weekly. The software being discussed on this show is available at http://obsproject.com and is open source and free. It allows professional switching and composing of scenes with cameras and screen shares together that you can stream into YouTube Live Events among other streaming sites.
This week, we’ll discuss methods to get audio from an HOA or “Hangout-On-Air” into the show you are hosting, so they hear both your local microphone AND the participants in the HOA. (Actually, it could be an HVC or “Hangout Video Call” just as easily, but it is not a bad idea to have the HOA as a backup show in case the Live Event had problems and doesn’t record or stream optimally.)
This additional video shows how to use Voicemeeter to get audio into OBS (basic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPh2_5m0cGA
And this one shows how to record a Skype call into a show where they can hear you but they do not hear their own voice echoed back at them:
Thanks especially to +Dan McDermott, the original inspiration behind these techniques, and to +Michael Mason and +Hosted Hangouts for pushing the envelope even further. Dan and Michael are truly producers-extraordinaire exploring the possibilities of these hybrid types of programs.
Next week and the following one we’ll be moving on to talking about Pixlr.com’s incredible editor and some things you can do with that.
Pixlr Trix – using with Pixlr Templates
Pixlr Trix – beyond basic color manipulation
Online Music Collaboration Methods – Non-Realtime
Online Music Collaboration Methods – Realtime
Online Music Performances – Performance, Marketing and Engagement Possibilities
Beyond the Blog – Integrating Video, Audio, Social and Blogging without going mad
WordPress, Child Themes, CSS and Firefox’s Firebug or Chrome’s Inspector Tools
ExpressionEngine – If/Then Tricks and Applications
