Welcome back to Custom 3D Desktop Icons!! In this episode, we did Google Chrome (again), Minecraft Dungeons, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, Unturned, Recycle Bin (again), Terraria, Undertale, and Battlenet.

We also go over many blender 2.83 tips including grunge maps, glare, denoising, curves, and more.

In this video the greatest question of all time is answered. Why do I call it 3d software, not just blender? Well, I use magicavoxel and hdrlightstudio from time to time, especially in this episode.

Subscribe for part 2!

/*ENGLISH VERSION BELOW*/

3D IMGeo CityGML: Safe Software (FME)

3D IMGeo CityGML: Safe Software (FME)
At the closing symposium of the 3D pilot (November 20th, 2012) the final results of the 3D IMGeo CityGML relay were presented to the public. In a combined and summarised movie, several vendors show their 3D approach, their support of the CityGML format as well as the 3D capabilities of their software. Four vendors provided a recorded movie for this relay. This video consists of the original, unedited video provided by Safe Software. The compiled relay movie and the original videos of the other vendors can be found elsewhere in this YouTube channel.

Background
Geonovum, the Dutch Land Registry Office, Netherlands Geodetic Commission and the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment initiated the 3D Pilot. This pilot aims at pushing 3D developments in The Netherlands. During the closing symposium of the 3D pilot (November 20th, 2012) the final results of the 3D IMGeo CityGML relay were presented to the public. The level of support for maintaining 3D data is a crucial aspect in the decision of organizations considering expanding their 2D registrations into the third dimension. In order to provide the public with an overview of currently available 3D software, a 3D IMGeo CityGML relay was organised. Videos for the relay were provided by the following vendors: M.O.S.S., Safe Software (FME), Bentley en CPA systems. For more information: www.geonovum.nl/3d./toolkit

With 3D design software you usually have to make a decision whether you want something easy to use and low quality or something difficult to use but very high quality. Well with google sketchup you get a very good compromise with an incredibly easy to use interface and a fairly good quality end-product. You can even get a version for free directly from the website or choose to upgrade to Sketchup Pro.

HitFilm 4 Pro aims to be an all-in-one solution for film makers, combining video editing, visual effects compositing and audio processing capabilities in a single software package. I show you what the software is actually capable of and review what I do and don’t like about it.

Benefits:
+ All in one solution, entire post production workflow in a single software
+ 200 inbuilt effects
+ Native 3D support (obj, 3ds, low, abc)
+ HitFilm Ignite Plug-ins pack (~150 plug-ins for your favourite NLE)
+ mocha HitFilm (including the Camera Solve module!)
+ 3D Objects from Boris FX
+ Strong community and tons of tutorials

Disadvantages (at least with the version I tested)
– Less features than you get with dedicated editing, compositing and audio processing tools
– Slightly sluggish performance
– Bugs in 3D import module
– Unintuitive 3D camera controls
– Cannot place more than a single clip within a composite shot, no way to ‘group’ clips
– Limited audio processing capabilities, no mixer

Update #3 improved the camera controls in your preview window. you can find all about this update here: https://hitfilm.com/blog/hf4p-update-3/

I recommend you check out the free trial you can download from the official HitFilm website!
Get HitFilm 4 Pro here:
